This is a preview of the Asics Roadhawk FF.
The Roadhawk is one example of a very simple, low-cost, toned down shoe with premium features that we're seeing pop up in the market right now.
The FF stands for FlyteFoam, and that's one of the remarkable properties of this shoe—it has a full layer of FlyteFoam underneath the foot. It’s a new midsole material we're seeing Asics use in the DynaFlyte and even the Kayano. It's a quality, lightweight, and durable foam that's going to offer some good cushioning.

Up top, Asics is using an engineered mesh in the forefoot, something you don't typically see on a shoe at this price point. There's no memory foam around the collar like you might typically find on a pair of Asics, but it's still going to give you a secure lock.
The Asics Roadhawk FF is on the feet of our wear testers now, and it retails for $110. (You can buy it here.)
