The right bra for: B to E runners who want support without restraint
Our biggest question when testing Shock Absorber’s Ultimate Fly was would this sports bra live up to its brand’s name. The company from across the pond set out to launch a high impact bra that could sculpt itself with any body shape, and provide maximum comfort and support. Our wear-testers found the Ultimate Fly delivered on these fronts.
Adaptable Technology
Shock Absorber’s patented technology is used in the Ultimate Fly’s laser cut construction to adapt to your breasts’ movements. While this may sound bizarre, it rectifies the alternative: a bra that not only supports your breasts but restricts flexibility and comfort. Instead of limiting movement and hindering your performance, the Ultimate Fly acts like a second skin, providing sufficient support with just the slightest bounce.
Lightweight and Adjustable
The Ultimate Fly’s straps attach below the neck, creating a Y-shape design for stability. The non-slip padded straps, along with the padded back hook, prevent uncomfortable, itchy imprints after long wear. Double threading insures durability, while brushed elastic eliminates any friction that can cause chafing.
Fits True to Size
The bra is marketed towards sizes B all the way up to E. It remarkably adapts to this spectrum of sizes without being too tight or too loose. This is made possible by the double back adjustment and adjustable straps. Three layers of light fabric bond together to make the bra mold to your chest, no matter its cup size.
What Testers Had To Say
Our wear-testers appreciated the Ultimate Fly’s accommodating fit: “I’m 59 and have had children,” said a 36D runner. “My large breasts no longer have the ‘perk’ they once did and need more support. This bra keeps everything in place with little bounce and without feeling squeezed.”
While testers were satisfied with the bra’s functionality, some were hesitant about taking their shirts off, calling the Ultimate Fly “sporty but serious,” and maybe not their first bra of choice “under revealing tops.”
