New York City running brand Ten Thousand is known for its seamless blending of technical workout wear with fashion-forward silhouettes, all wrapped in durable, highly moisture-wicking fabrics. For some, it’s also known for its high price tag.
Luckily, that luxury running gear doesn’t have to come with a steep cost this week, as the brand just launched its massive surplus sale. Right now, several of its products are up to 40 percent off, including two of our favorites: the Session running shorts and the Interval pants.
We think the Session is one of the best men’s running shorts, with its highly breathable perforated waistband and large side pockets that can even store a phone. But what our tester Michael Charboneau loves most about it is its comfortable liner. “It fits snug but doesn’t cling to your thighs or restrict any movement,” he says. “And it somehow manages to not overheat, which is usually the case with tight- or compression-like liners in shorts.” These shorts typically cost $68, but right now, you can grab them for as low as $40, depending on length, color, and liner.
Also on sale are the brand’s Interval pants, down to a whopping $47 from its normal $118 price tag. Some of the best men’s workout pants are dressy enough to wear to the grocery store yet casual enough to slouch around at home, and these fit the bill. They’re highly versatile training pants, made from a knitted blend of nylon and spandex, making them extremely stretchy and plenty durable. Grab a pair now in one of nine colors.
Our runner-in-chief, Jeff Dengate, is a big fan of Ten Thousand: “What I love most about them is that they don’t scream ‘sports’ shorts. They have a casual, cool vibe, but they actually perform well if you’re seriously running in them. The Distance Short, with a 3-inch inseam, is about as close to normal running shorts that you’re going to find.”
