A mystery has been solved this week in Holmdel, New Jersey, and it seems that the crap came from the very top.
At 5:50 a.m. Monday, Kenilworth School District Superintendent Thomas Tramaglini was observed defecating near the Holmdel High School football field and track, according to NJ.com. School faculty and coaches say human feces appeared on or near the athletic facilities almost daily, forcing authorities to watch the area.

Tramaglini, 42, lives roughly three miles from the school, which is outside the district he oversees, the article says. Local police watched him run around the track before he was caught with his pants down. He has been charged with defecating in public, lewdness, and littering. Tramaglini has been placed on administrative leave and will appear in court next week.

No other information has been released. (Though, neither has any more poop on the track.)
