The Diamond League circuit will continue its tour of Europe this weekend in Silesia, a region of southern Poland. On Sunday, July 16, the best of the best—including Sha'Carri Richardson (100 meters), Jakob Ingebrigtsen (1500 meters), and Fred Kerley (100 meters)—will line up at the starting line for valuable Diamond League points.
Here’s what you need to know.
How to Watch
For viewers in the U.S., Peacock will be streaming the Silesia Diamond League on Sunday from 10 a.m. ET to 12 p.m. ET. (You can purchase a Peacock subscription for $4.99 a month.) CNBC will also have coverage. For some international viewers, this weekend’s races may be free to stream on the Wanda Diamond League YouTube channel.
3 Must-Watch Events
Men’s 100 meters (10:16 a.m. ET)
Fred Kerley, Yohan Blake, and newly-minted U.S. champ Cravont Charleston will all contest the 100 meters, but as the reigning world champion, Kerley enters as the favorite. Blake will hope to have better luck after being disqualified from the Jamaica Track and Field Championships earlier this month.
Men’s 1500 meters (11:38 a.m. ET)
Jakob Ingebrigtsen clinched the win in Lausanne two weeks ago, defeating Ethiopian steeplechase world record holder Lamecha Girma. In the penultimate event of Sunday’s meet, Ingebrigtsen—the defending Olympic gold medalist—will look to continue his undefeated season in a field that includes Abel Kipsang, Azeddine Habz, and American Sam Prakel.
Women’s 100 meters (11:53 a.m. ET)
Sha’Carri Richardson and World silver medalist Shericka Jackson will face off in the final, climactic event of the day. Both athletes are arriving at the race in good form. Richardson won the U.S. 100-meter title last weekend, while Jackson nabbed first place in the same event at the Jamaican Championships last week. Marie-Josée Ta Lou of Ivory Coast will look to spoil the party.
