5 Things Carole Radziwill Experienced During Her First Marathon That Are True for All Runners
Prerace nerves? Check.

Last November, Carole Radziwill ran her first marathon—the New York City Marathon.
“As I got into my 50s, I didn’t feel as strong as I did in previous decades,” the Real Housewives of New York cast member told Runner’s World last year. “I’ve never been one to just go to the gym and exercise, so I needed a goal.”
On April 11, her journey was highlighted on the newest Housewives episode. During the hour, Radziwill—an award-winning journalist and published author—experienced things that pretty much every runner out there can relate to. Prerace nerves? Of course. Trying to get your non-runner friends to care about running? Definitely.
Here are five things that happened to Radziwill during her training and racing that will make you say, “Yep, been there.”
