Des Linden and 6 Other Runners Show ‘This Is Fitness’ Can Be Pretty Damn Relatable

Des Linden has been busy gearing up for the New York City Marathon, and has been pretty open about her training on Twitter. She never fails to come through with updates on her progress or helpful reminders to herself and other runners, like this one: “Note to self: tired ≠ exhausted. Easy days easy. Hard days hard.”

Recently, she tweeted out this pretty relatable scenario: “Enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner, hit me so hard I tipped 30%. This is fitness.” It struck runners so much, that they, too, began sharing their own “This is fitness” examples. We rounded up some of the funniest below.
