Runners need good runner food. Think: sports drinks, gels, chews, and other weird concoctions found in a postrace goody bag. But those lab creations are only part of the puzzle when it comes to fueling a healthy and strong run. Yes, you need a smart breakfast (possibly with coffee), and solid meals throughout the day, but when in the middle of training we are all guilty of indulging in our favorite snacks to keep the energy up.
