Running has been healing for me both physically and spiritually. It has allowed me to clear my thoughts and work through a number of frustrations and stress. It has also reminded me that with discipline and effort, we can accomplish anything.
I am a task and goal-oriented person. I run for health, to achieve personal goals, and to justify extra gravy on my mashed potatoes.
Downtown Frankfort is a beautiful area for my long runs. Not only is the center of state government here, but so is the Kentucky River, as well as the beautiful scenery of downtown life.
Outside of my shoes, the most important gear I run with are wireless, Bluetooth headphones. Whether I’m listening to a podcast, a book, or my running playlist, I must have something in my ear.
In high school I was voted “Most Reliable” and I failed to show up to the awards ceremony.
To run at least one marathon, get a tattoo commemorating the achievement, and then go from there.
Caroline’s enthusiasm for enriching the run community originates from engaging with her local run specialty store customers, where she still works part-time. As a professional hobby jogger, she loves exchanging training stories and hearing from RW+ members about their race victories.
