When it comes to performance eyewear, every gram counts. Heavy frames can bounce, slip or distract, throwing off your focus and flow. Enter, then, a game-changing collaboration between eyewear manufacturer Cubitts and performance running brand Soar. The Cirrus is a ultralight titanium pair of running sunglasses that weighs just 10g. No, that’s not a typo. Cirrus really are the lightest pair of performance sunnies on the market.
The product of 18 months of meticulous refinement, they’re built from an ultralight titanium skeleton. From an initial prototype of 22g, the frame has been carefully optimised to shed every gram without compromising strength, achieving a design that, the brands claim, is both incredibly lightweight and exceptionally durable.
The frameless design is inspired by modernist artist Constantin Brâncuși’s Bird in Space sculpture and is contoured to fit the unique structure of the face, with integrated, crosshatched nose pads for grip and beta titanium arms that flex seamlessly with movement.

Also central to the design is a custom RiPel ZEISS shield lens, crafted for maximum coverage, comfort and aerodynamics. The brands claim it provides superior UV protection and features advanced coatings that repel scratches, smudges and moisture, ensuring superior clarity during intense training sessions and all-out races.
The Cirrus will be available online at Cubitts and Soar from 27 February 2025, and across nine Cubitts stores in the UK and US.
