Last night, Team GB's Josh Kerr narrowly missed out on a gold medal in a heart-stopping men's 1500m final at the Olympic Games, finishing in second place. But, as usual, it wasn’t just his running that captured our attention.
The 26-year-old middle distance runner has become well-known for donning sunglasses in a race, having competed in them throughout the World Championships in Budapest last year.
‘I enjoy racing in them,’ Kerr previously told The Times. ‘I’m able to look around and no one knows where I’m looking.’

He also said he believes that his £200 sunglasses — a pair of Oakley shades — provide a 'mental edge' by hiding his eyes.
'I think, with the sunglasses, it definitely lets me stand out,” Kerr told BBC Sport. 'When the glasses go on, it’s game time. In the World Championships last year, I was wearing the darker sunglasses before heading out, so you couldn’t see my eyes.
'I chucked them on in the call room, I was just looking around, seeing what people were doing and no one knew where I was looking, so people were getting a little bit peeved off at me. They were asking, "Are you looking at me?" I was like, "Maybe I am, maybe I’m not", but it’ll rile some people up.'
