Apple Watch Series 9 [41mm Starlight]

Apple Watch Series 9 [41mm Starlight]

The Apple Watch Series 9 is a seriously impressive piece of tech, and shouldn't be underestimated when it comes to its capabilities as a runner's watch. There's built-in GPS, pages of performance stats, in-depth sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, period tracking and more. The only con is that the battery life is just a day, so you do need to remember to charge it.

Whoop 4.0 With 12 Month Subscription

The Whoop band is a screen-free health tracker with a wireless battery pack, designed for 24/7 wear. If you're a data nerd, this one is for you: the band measures sleep, strain, recovery, stress, calories, and more, with personalised insights that help you track and improve your health over time.

Fitbit Sense 2

Fitbit Sense 2

Fitbit’s top-tier smartwatch comes with advanced activity tracking (24/7 heart rate monitoring, built-in GPS, workout intensity map, Daily Readiness Score, Active Zone Minutes, all-day activity tracking, 40+ exercise modes and automatic exercise tracking), EDA stress dedication, an ECG heart health assessment, tools to measure and improve sleep quality and more. What more could you want?

Garmin Vivomove Sport

Garmin Vivomove Sport

The Vivomove Trend is part of the Garmin's hybrid collection – combining classic analogue style with smartwatch functionality – and we’re big fans. The display, which is bright and easy to read, reveals metrics such as heart rate, step count, sleep, stress and blood oxygen levels, and you can access additional features via the Garmin Connect App including menstrual cycle, hydration and respiration tracking. It comes with all your usual workout modes, including cardio, strength training, cycling, swimming (it’s waterproof to a depth of 50 metres) and running. Just note that it doesn’t have built-in GPS, so you’ll have to tuck your phone into your pocket for GPS support

Apple Watch SE

Apple Watch SE

If you don't want to fork out quite so much on the latest Apple Watch, the SE is a good compromise. It's slightly smaller than the Series 8 and can't take an ECG from your wrist or measure blood oxygen saturation levels. It also doesn't have temperature sensing, which is new to the Series 8. However, it offers a host of workout options and activity tracking, and boasts motion sensors for crash detection.

Google Pixel Watch

Google Pixel Watch

Now that the Google Pixel Watch 2 is out, you can find the original for a whopping 47% off its original price. Like the Vivomove Trend, the Pixel Watch will look just as good on your wrist at a dinner party as it will in the gym thanks to its glossy pebble-shaped face and subtle silicone strap. The Pixel Watch boasts Fitbit’s health and fitness tracking features, with 40 workout modes, sleep stages, menstrual tracking and metrics including breathing rate, HR viability, heart rate zones, as well as basics like step count, calorie burn. One major downside is the lacklustre battery life – it lasts less than 24 hours without exercise – but that’s also the case with many of its smartwatch competitors.

The latest Google Pixel Watch has also served up a generous discount, and there's lots of improvements on the original: better health and stress tracking, a battery life that lasts all day, updated training features and a handy Safety Check feature.
