Three protestors from the A22 Network disrupted the 400m hurdles at a Diamond League meet in Stockholm on Sunday.
Running in lane eight, race winner Karsten Warholm was able to bypass the environmental protestors, who knelt on the track in lanes six, four and one about 10m from the finish line. The majority of the field, however, were forced to run through the protestors' banners.
The Norwegian Olympic champion, who eased to a comfortable victory in 47.57, afterwards expressed his annoyance at their interference. 'It is permissible to protest, but this is not the way to do it,' he told Norwegian broadcaster NRK. It is disrespectful to those who are here to do a good job. I must honestly admit that I'm p****d off.'

It is not yet known how the protestors – who also interrupted the Swedish final of 'Let's Dance' on TV4 last month – were able to get onto the track, but it is alleged that they jumped from their seats onto the track once the race has started.
Elsewhere at Sunday's rainy meeting in Stockholm, Daryll Neita won the women's 200m ahead of compatriot Dina Asher-Smith in a time of 22.50, as the pair secured a British one-two.
